BEE Healthy Windfall Wellness Program

Everyone at Windfall School is pitching in to help our students learn different ways to "bee" healthy. Studies have show that healthy habits prevent childhood problems such as obesity, illness and dental problems while also lower the risks of future chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

To kick-off this exciting new program we invite our students to join in the fun by playing our "BEE Healthy" game.

It’s easy to play. Click here for the game board and instructions to play

All students who return their completed game board by Friday, March 5 will receive a special Windfall Wellness prize

Each week in February we will be focusing on a different area of wellness for our students.

The focuses for each week in February are:

Week 1 – Hygiene (i.e. dental health, hand washing, personal hygiene, cleanliness, etc.)

Week 2 – Healthy eating and diet (i.e. food choices, snacks, etc.)

Week 3 – Exercise (i.e. getting moving, adding exercise to each day, easy exercises for all, etc.)

Week 4 – Safety Issues (i.e. strangers, household safety, basic personal safety issues, etc.)

We will be teaching students how to get moving and make healthy choices and habits a part of their everyday life. We are encouraging families to join the fun by trying some healthy new habits at home. Here are some tips to get you started:
